It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s Lensley!

The unveiling of a new aircraft is a momentous occasion — and the event celebrating it had to be equally epic. So Lensley headed north to Washington to make sure our client captured it in style!

The event in Washington was an opportunity for the employees and engineers who worked on the plane to celebrate their new aircraft. Lensley set up 12 Lensley Automatic devices around two airplanes, positioned with a specific section of the plane in the background, so employees could pose in front of the various elements they worked on. Even with all these machines the lines got long, and over the course of a very long day (all three shifts!), we shot over 4000 employees.

Each of the 12 Lensley Automatic devices displayed a real-time slideshow on a large screen. To top it off, all the images (from the 12 devices) were fed to a massive LED wall (and the live webstream) so everyone could see the fantastic results. Once employees had their photo taken at a Lensley device, they were also able to email the image to themselves, and share it to their preferred social channels.

The weather was typical of the Pacific Northwest — cold, rainy, and with winds gusting over 50MPH — but neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays Lensley from delivering your photos.

What’s better than completing the Chicago Marathon? A rocking party with medal customization, music, Lensley, and all the Nike gear you could want. Lensley was on hand for the lead-up, race day, and recovery at the Niketown in Chicago.

Lensley @ Fashion’s Night Out for Sephora

Lensley occupied 3 separate Sephora NY (5th Avenue, Times Square, SoHo) stores in support of the 2011 Fashion’s Night Out. Music, Champagne, and a lot of shopping was enjoyed by all.

D23 Expo 2011: Friends For Change

At the recent D23 Expo 2011, Lensley partnered with Disney: Friends For Change, Disney’s green initiative that encourages Disney fans to take action and interest in various environmental issues. Fans posed in front of the custom Friends For Change branded Lensley Automatic device for a 4-shot Lensley photo, which they were then able to share on their social media accounts before taking a printed copy home for themselves!

At an expo that celebrates the most diehard Disney fans, the Lensley photos were great souvenirs for Disney devotees of all ages!

Sunset Strip Music Fest

Lensley was on hand again for the Sunset Strip Music Fest hanging out with The Roxy crew. A beautiful day for some beautiful tunes. As you can see we took it all the way from day to night and into the next morning. That’s how it goes on the strip.

Los Fearless

The Black Mamba owns Los Angeles.  From his fourth Most Valuable Player in the 2011 NBA All-Star Game to the billboards hanging on La Cienega to his golden visage staring down from the walls in the Foot Locker House of Hoops in the Beverly Center, Kobe Bryant is an icon that people look up to and try to emulate . . . and in steps Lensley.

Over the NBA All-Star Weekend, Lensley Automatic set up in the Beverly Center, capturing people and making them into NBA icons like Kobe.  Bathed in the same golden tones with the Los Fearless logo splashed across their chests, people got to hold basketballs and show off what they would do if they were on the court.  In the House of Hoops, people were projected larger than life, with three 60” screens rotating through thousands of photos, and a 3-story, 100’ looming projections over the crowds of All-Star Weekend in the middle of the Beverly Center!

Los Fearless and Lensley made icons of us all!

Lensley @ Nike LA Destroyers X Downtown Artwalk

This past Thursday at LA’s now infamous Downtown Artwalk, Nike held a little launch party for their LA Destroyers campaign. Held inside an old bank building, the event was a huge success with the the powers that be (aka the fire marshall) almost shutting it down. And who could blame them? With a line wrapping around the block, amazing artwork by amazing artists, and photography by Ja Tecson, this was THE place to be! Featuring the likes of Mowii Madonna, Chauntal Lewis, and Michael Chacon, the LA Destroyers represented the City of Angels to the fullest.

The fine folks at Nike hollered at us for Automated Portraiture. With a magnetic backdrop and an enthusiastic crowd, Lensley once again brought the party to the party!
